about

These are about half of the tracks from this album, which I recorded on a cassette-based Tascam Portastudio 4-track right after my first or second year of undergrad. My friend Joel, who was a graphic design student at the time, did the cover, although what's posted doesn't do the original justice since this is a scan from an old printing. Personally, I find this recording sort of embarrassing--well, more embarrassing than a lot of my more recent stuff, anyway--which is why I haven't posted the other half of the material, but my friends were all very encouraging about it and I felt like it would be a little dishonest to pretend none of this existed. Especially since I've periodically pilfered it for material later on.
